Notably, all 12 Indian wrestlers won medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and the wrestling team was able to repeat the feat. Whether wrestling will make a part of the 2026 Commonwealth Games remains to be seen, as host nation Victoria had excluded shooting and wrestling.

In Birmingham, the familiar names continued their dominant run, the youngsters thrust into the spotlight and the old guards successfully sought redemption.
