KHERDA: Congress General Secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by his brother Rahul Gandhi for the second day in a row on Friday during his Madhya Pradesh leg. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra and her son Rehan were also spotted matching steps with Rahul Gandhi on the third day of the Madhya Pradesh leg of the yatra.
The yatra started in the morning from Kherda in Khargone district.
Madhya Pradesh Congress media department chairman KK Mishra said Gandhi will arrive in Omkareshwar, one of the country’s 12 jyotirlings, in the evening.
Gandhi will offer prayers at the temple and will also take part in the Narmada river aarti, he said.
The yatra entered the Madhya Pradesh-ruled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on November 23 from Burhanpur district after completing his stint in Maharashtra. He will cover 380 km in 12 days in the Malwa-Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh before entering Rajasthan. A large number of tribes reside in this agricultural region. PTI HWP MAS NP NP
