GURUGRAM: UAE authorities have told business partner IndiGo Airlines that passengers with only one name in their passports traveling on a tourist, visit or any other type of visa will not be allowed to enter or leave the UAE at starting Monday.
This means that both the first and last name must be clearly stated.
The statement read: “According to the instructions of the UAE authoritiesAs of November 21, 2022, passengers with only one name in their passports traveling on a tourist, visit or any other type of visa will not be allowed to travel to/from the UAE.”
According to the low-cost airline’s statement, the UAE authorities also said that, however, passengers with only one name in the passport and in possession of a residence permit or permanent visa will be allowed to travel as long as the same name is updated in “first column “first name” and “last name”.
The carrier’s statement read: “However, passengers with only one name in passports and in possession of a residence permit or work visa will be able to travel as long as the same name is updated in the “First Name” and “Last Name” columns. .”
