New Delhi: Congress Secretary General Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tested positive for COVID-19, which is the second time he has contracted the virus in two months.

On Twitter, he said: “Test positive for Covid (again!) Today. Will self-isolate at home and follow all protocols.”

Priyanka Gandhi had also tested positive for COVID-19 in June, after which she had to cut her trip to Lucknow short and return to Delhi.

Delhi is seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases and health experts are of the opinion that appropriate Covid behavior needs to be reinforced, something the elderly and younger cohort do not adhere to.

On Tuesday, the Chief Minister of Delhi said there was no need to panic as the infections were mild in nature.

He said that despite the increase in cases, most are reported with mild symptoms, adding that his government is closely monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action.
