NEW DELHI: The domestic stock market may face volatility amid the monthly expiration of derivatives scheduled for this week, while investors would mainly await the outcome of runs batted inFriday’s interest rate decision, analysts said.
The global market move would also continue to boost sentiment amid a recent bearish trend following rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve and other central banks.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) may follow the example of its global counterparts to raise the interest rate for the fourth time in a row to control inflation.
The RBI, which has raised the repo rate by 140 basis points (bps) since May, may rise again by 50 basis points to take it to a three-year high of 5.9 percent, experts say. .
